Paphos Ethnographic Museum

Paphos Ethnographic Museum is probably the richest and best private museum on the island, interesting objects from the Neolithic era until today.

Paphos Ethnographic Museum is housed in a neoclassical architecture stone building of 1894 which consists of two floors.

On the lower floor are exposed collections of folk art consisting of clothing, agricultural tools, ceramics, embroidery, traditional room and a room with objects Chalcolithic period.


On the top floor you can see collections of coins, Byzantine jewelry chests. Also in separate rooms are the library of the founder of the museum, archaeologist Professor George Eliades and Viennese room art nouveau.

In the courtyard of the Ethnographic Museum are a flourmill, old stoves, a traditional rustic fountain and a chapel.


While there is still a genuine era tomb of Alexander the Great. Finally, in the Museum committed political and religious weddings in collaboration with the Anglican Church.

The museum operates year round.
