Unlike other places in cyprus here in paphos you will find all kind of beaches, here mentioning only the most popular ones with the locals.

Aphrodites rock
This is the beach that aphrodite rose up from the sea. its usually packed with tourist so the locals dont come here, but it really worths the visit.

Lara bay
Drive all the way west to peyia and from there you take the quite difficult for a regular car road to lara beach. its about 20mins inside the akamas peninsula but the crystal clear waters and empty beach worth the drive. come september and you may be lucky and see the turtles coming off their eggs and nests. There are many more small beaches all the way to fontana amoroza but you need to have a 4x4 car to do so...

Ta bania
This is the beach that is most popular with the locals. located in the center of the port. its easy to get in the water, its organized and the water is very clean an cold. Come by in the morning in the winter to see the winter swimmers.

Pissouri bay
Pissouri is a village east of paphos on the way to limassol. the village is situated in two locations, one up on the hill and one near the bay. Be shure to check one of the few nudist beaches on the island atq the east of the beach. Its actually rumored that the area will soon be build up with a marina and the beach will loose its main advandage, the fact that is so isolated.

Yeroskipou beach
Quiet sandy beach with bars. come here if you are bored to drive outsite the town. Or come on fridays or satursay nights in the summer, the last two years or so this is the beach where al the good parties take place on the beach.

Timi beach
Next to the airport . clean and cold waters.

Helios bay
Avoid this beach if its windy. despite the great white sand and beauty many people have been swept away from the sea currents and died.

Coral bay
The beach got its name from the pink colour of the sand that it had in the 70s. Since then the beach was build up and over organized.
